I am currently doing my master’s in Conservation Biology and working in collaboration with the Division of Population Genetics. After having done my bachelor’s comparing detection methods for stoats and weasels in agricultural landscapes, I’m shifting gears towards investigating the population genetics of stoats across Switzerland. I am particularly curious about the population structure, fragmentation and demographic history of our stoats. My long-term goal is to gain a better overall understanding of their current population decline.
