Research interests

I am interested in demographic changes and genetic divergence of natural populations. I am working on the population genetics of the common vole (Microtus arvalis) using genomic methods. Microtus arvalis has several evolutionary lineages across the European continent and was also introduced to offshore islands, which forms a unique system for studying various evolutionary processes such as population divergence, expansion and selection.

Curriculum vitae

  • 2018 – now: PhD thesis on genomic divergence of Microtus rodents and affiliated microbial communities, under supervision of Prof. Gerald Heckel, CMPG, University of Bern, Switzerland
